Our researcher Dr. Kazuyoshi Kawaksaka is looking for a Research Assistant for a Japanese Queer studies porjekt (DFG funded project).

Job description 
* Assisting the editing of a book on LGBTQ+ issues in Japan (English language). Checking references, index, typographic checks, formatting
* Producing transcripts from Zoom interviews (English transcripts from spoken English interviews)
* Assisting organising a conference (online or presence)
* Other research related work to support the project.
 
Salary
Based on the University’s pay structure. Starting from 12€/hour.
 
Working hours/ Duration
5 hours per week/ 10 months from 1st October 2023 to 31th July 2024 (or the earliest possible availability).
Work is mainly from home but the assistant might be asked to come to the university for meetings/work[

Looking for an assistant with
* Excellent ability of academic English language
* Knowledge or interest in Japanese society and culture
This is also a good opportunity if you have an interest in gender, sexuality, queer studies in/about Japan.
